Go gives students a welcoming way to practise concentration, planning, resilience and respectful competition.
Introductory workshop
A lively first encounter with the game: cultural background, essential rules and supervised play on small boards.
After-school club
A repeatable program that builds skills through mini-lessons, puzzles, games and friendly competition.
Teacher support
Practical guidance for educators who want to continue a school Go group after the introduction.
Designed for Australian schools
Programs can be adapted to primary or secondary students, class size, available time and the school’s learning goals. Gold Coast and Brisbane schools are the initial service area, with Sydney and Melbourne activities possible through local Go community partners.
Safe participation
Programs involving children must follow the child-safety and working-with-children requirements that apply in each Australian state or territory. In Queensland, this includes the Blue Card system where required.
